Hockey run mens (4), Badgers and Beavers boys Saturday sides and ladies
(2) who normally play on Sundays.
The
Badgers are U.16 11-a-side with up to 4 adults and the Beavers are U13
11-a-side also with up to 4 adults they do not however usually play both
on the same Saturday. There are also 7 a side Sunday junior boys and girls
teams boys at U11, U13, and U15 and girls at U11 and U13 age groups in
the Sunday Lancashire League.
The mens 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams represent the club in the North West Manchester
Hockey League while the 4th team and Badgers and Beavers enjoy friendly
competition with various local teams from Lancashire & Cheshire County
Hockey Associations including North Wales and Cumbria.
The mens 1st and 2nd teams and Boys U15 and U18 enter the National Cup
tournaments and the Mens 1st team also enter the Lancashire County Cup.
The ladies 1st and 2nd teams represent the club in the Greater Manchester
League.
There is also a mixed section that plays occasional 11 a side games and
during the summer enters along with Mens and Badgers into the Manchester
Summer 7 a side League. The club also enters various local competitions
and tournaments and goes on tour at May Day Holiday to the North Staffordshire
Tournament, at Spring Bank Holiday to the Isle Of Man Tournament and at
August Bank Holiday to the Cannock Hockey Tournament.
Juniors meet every Saturday morning at the club throughout the year and
receive coaching from senior members of the club. During the winter months
there are various competitions with many juniors going on to represent
the North West County and National teams.
